INSPECTION OF THE OFFICE OF PCDA, NEW DELHI

The inspection of the office of PCDA, New Delhi was conducted by a team of HQrs office from 11th August, 2008 to 25th August, 2008.

Smt. Indu Liberhan, IDAS, the then Addl. CGDA visited the office on 26th August, 2008 to carry out the review of the inspection. She was welcomed by Smt U G Antony, IDAS, PCDA, New Delhi .In her welcome address, the PCDA expressed her happiness over the good work done by the inspection team and hoped that the office will function in a better way once the shortcomings pointed out by the inspection team are set right.

This was followed by a brief presentation by Ms Rajalakshmi Devaraj, IDAS, Jt. CDA. It dealt with the unique sections of the office of the PCDA. She also informed the then Addl. CGDA about the functions and difficulties faced while discharging these duties. She mentioned that one of the functions assigned to this PCDA office is the maintenance of the fund accounts of Air Force Civilians which is somewhat incongruous, as the pay and allowances of these civilians are not dealt with in the office of the PCDA.Thereafter, a comprehensive presentation on the major issues noticed in various sections of the PCDA office during inspection was made by Shri Pushkal Upadhyay, IDAS, Dy. CGDA.

Smt Indu Liberhan, IDAS while appreciating the working of the office particularly relating to payments etc, stressed upon the need for strengthening the back end functions as well. She desired that the registers maintained in the office and demands/wanting acknowledgements may be kept updated and other deficiencies pointed out in inspection be rectified early. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms Rajalakshmi Devaraj, IDAS, JCDA.
